The Christian Post reported on April 22, 2013, that a suspect held his 7-month-old son as a human shield in a standoff with Police before coming out of an apartment in Estacada, Oregon.
The incident happened when the Police, on a tip-off regarding a burglary, chased a suspect by name Raleigh Reynolds and he hid in her sisters house, next to his house.
According to the Police, Reynolds tried to escape from the place several times as police surrounded the house, but was unsuccessful.
When he realised that he cannot escape the cops, he took to the most cowardly decisions of picking up his own son and using him to shield himself.
As the man was armed, officers didn’t want to take the risk and make any sudden movements.
The Police quickly overpowered Reynolds and the toddler was taken away from him and given to the parents to take care.
Charges of burglary, endangering a minor and resisting arrest are now on Reynold.
Reynolds was arrested in February on charges of drugs when he dialed 911 just before a drug deal.
