I've dealt with my fair share of earbuds, particularly ones designed for active users, but the issue of the earbuds falling out, continues to be prominent.
Enter the Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition earbuds, which can be found for $99.99 at various retailers. These earbuds may be one of the most suitable earbuds I've tested for folks who need some tunes when working out. I managed to put these earbuds through its paces while jogging, at the gym, working the punching bag and even while doing high-intensity workouts. Through all of that, the Inspire LEs managed to stay put in my ear and all while being oblivious to sweat and water.
These earbuds are sweat and water resistant, which is great, while also using Yurbuds' Twist Lock Technology, which essentially has you inserting the earbuds, and then making a twisting motion to lock them into place. It seemed a little odd at first, but twisting them in does actually work, and work quite well.
The Inspire LE earbuds are made of flexible silicone which made them pretty comfortable to wear, while also coming with an around-the-ear hook to keep them from moving around. The cables are made of tangle-free woven cloth so I was never able to make them get in a knot while using them, and they are designed to work with iOS devices, as there is a built-in mic that allows you to make calls, while providing music controls.
Where the earbuds fall a bit short is in the audio department. Honestly, sound seems to take a backseat to the build quality and design of the earbuds, which is a bit disappointing. Despite its proprietary Triple Magnet Sound, music sounded pretty flat, especially compared to other headphones in the same price range. Bass is decent but highs were lacking, so anyone needing some serious sound, may want to try something else.
That being said, for those who just need a little music during their workouts, and specifically for anyone needing a solid set of earbuds that won't fall out and can withstand the test of time, the Yurbuds Inspire Limited Edition Sports earbuds may be a suitable choice.
Final Score: 3 out of 5
