Groupon has quite a popular deal on their hands, with this Groupon Starbucks card $5 for $10 deal that has sold “over 100,000” according to Groupon right now on the new deal released mere hours ago today, Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
(It just jumped from over 25,000 bought in a matter of seconds.)
It’s weird that Groupon doesn’t send users straight to the “View Deal” page, but forces us to type “Starbucks” into the search bar at the top of their page to find the $5 for $10 Starbucks card.
Count this Internet Deals Examiner among those 100,000 or more people who purchased the deal – heck, it’s great to be able to buy $10 worth of Starbucks for only $5. Not only can customers get their favorite signature holiday beverage, like the chocolate Fraps a kid and I talked about yesterday, but they sell all those yummy sandwiches, too.
“Congrats on your shiny new Groupon!” exclaimed the website after the purchase for the $10 Starbucks Card eGift was complete, quipping, “Thanks for your purchase! Like a timid ghost or a 1997 text message, your Groupon may take a few minutes to appear, but we'll email you as soon as it's ready.”
Within minutes the email confirmation came, stating, “Your Groupon is already in your pocket. Just tap the Mobile App to redeem on the go, or print it from My Groupons anytime. It's easier than a one-piece jigsaw puzzle.”
You must love Groupon’s wit and these super-popular Starbucks deals. Apparently, with more than 100,000 purchases in such a short time, people obviously do love them. Get ‘em while they’re hot and before they sell out. This reporter has a feeling the Starbucks sale won’t last another two days.
