When it comes to boots – comfort isn’t necessarily the first thing that comes to mind. Durable, waterproof and warm might be good adjectives, but if you are talking about the Cushe Matthias WP boot, you can add stylish and comfortable.
CUSHE MATTHIAS WP
I had previously tested the Cushe Dawn Patrol slip-on shoes and was favorably impressed. Must be something in the Cushe DNA, because these were every bit as comfortable and easy to wear. The Cushe Matthias WP model is a high-top, waterproof suede boot that comes in one of three colorways – Tan, Grey and Dark Grey. I tried the tan pair recently and the boots came with two pairs of laces included – one red and one tan.
One of the coolest features is the side zipper that lets you slip the shoe on or off without untying the laces. For a child, that’s certainly helpful, but adults, parents and grandparents are going to like this as well. There’s even a little fold of leather at the top of the zipper – a zipper garage? – that keeps you from feeling the top of the zipper on the side of your leg.
The boots are thermal fleece-lined, so as you would expect, they are very comfortable to wear. While we haven’t had any really cold weather yet, I would fully expect them to be warm in winter’s cold temperatures.
I was also impressed with the white soles on the shoe. Not only looking cool, they give good traction whether wearing them for walking or hiking. I felt very lucky finding a boot, that looks so good, is lightweight and waterproof all at the same time.
The Matthias boots come in whole sizes from 7 to 13. I found them to be very true to the size I expected.
