ABC reported that a strange package containing "18 human heads" were found just before Christmas due to improper paperwork according to the O'Hare International Airport authorities.
The 18 human heads were reported to have been packaged, and were originally shipped from an anatomical research clinic from Illinois to Italy for medical research, and were returned to the area for disposal as part of the agreement.
Mary Paleologos, the spokesperson for the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office stated that the 18 human heads were "frozen in sealed containers and marked as human specimens."
The heads are being held at the Cook County morgue and that the heads will be turned over for cremation.The package was supposed to go to a U.S. research facility, with no signs of foul play are suspected.
