Yesterday saw the long awaited return of Nexus 4 Android smartphone to the Google Play store . The unlocked device became difficult to find when supplies ran dry at the start of last month, leaving those not looking to tie themselves down with a long-term wireless contract with any given service provider to scavenge online sites such as Craigslist or eBay. Lending even more appeal to purchasing the device through Google, it recently became illegal for tech owners to unlock their devices themselves for use on another network. If the trend continues, the Nexus 4 could sell out at any moment. When the phone launched in November of last year, it was out of stock within minutes, became available towards the end of the month, but then sold out again. LG claims supply issues have been addressed and there should be no more long-term droughts, however, there is a currently 1-2 week wait time before the phone even ships for delivery.
In photos which leaked today , the premium Android device is shown in a white finish. Rumors of a whitewash have been circulating around the internet for a while now, so it doesn't come as a surprise to see the images popping up now. Interestingly enough, though, is the appearance on a white iPhone 5 off to the side in one of the photos. While the front of the phone looks identical to that of the black version currently available, the white back plate allows the unique pixelated pattern to stand out and sparkle. A slideshow of the leaked images may be found on the left.
