Michelle Kwan, the sensational figure-skating champion of America got married to Clay Pell, the scion of the Rhode Island political family in a ceremony held in Rhode Island on Saturday, Jan 19, 2013.
The couple, who met in April 2011, exchanged their vows at the First Unitarian Church in the province amid 250 guests.
It is reported that those who attended the ceremony included eminent personalities like Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln Chafee and his wife, Stephani.
Moreover, Olympic champions such as Brian Boitano, Dick Button and Dorothy Hamill, also attended the wedding.
32-year old Kwan, who is the winner of 43 championships including two Olympic medals got engaged to 31-year-old Pell in September 2011.
Clay Pell is the grandson of late Rhode Island Sen. Claiborne Pell and is a JAG lawyer and Coast Guard lieutenant working with national security staff of White House.
Kwan, on the other hand, is a public policy envoy with the U.S State Department along with being a popular figure skater.
