According to reports, the South African police found a bloodied cricket bat at Oscar Pistorius' home and he took performance enhancing drugs before shooting model Reeva.
The police are investigating if Pistorius might have shot Reeva in a fit of 'steroid rage' - an aggression which is caused by performance-enhancing steroids.
The South African police suspects Pistorius might have beaten Steenkamp with a cricket bat before chasing her to the bathroom and shooting her.
The police are also testing the star's blood for drugs. The 29-year-old Reeva Steenkamp was shot four times at Pistorius’s home in Pretoria.
Reports of Pistorius shooting his girlfriend mistakingly thinking she was an intruder was dismissed by the police because Reeva was wearing a night gown at the time of her death.
The funeral of Reeva Steenkamp will be held on Feb 19, the same day Pistorius will be appearing in front of chief magistrate Desmond Nair for the hearing of his bail application.
