One page on the Gilt website that is proving very popular right now -- in fact, so popular that it has landed on the "What's Hot" list of Alexa.com well-trafficked website pages -- is the Gilt sale of Vintage Rolex watches, promoted from the homepage and urging folks to shop now.

Apparently consumers are shopping, because quite a few of the vintage Rolex watches are listed with "Sold Out: Add to Wait List" labels on them.

For example, a Rolex Stainless-Steel Explorer II Watch (c. 1990s) is listed with a discounted price of $5,040 on Gilt, regularly $6,325 -- representing a more than $1,000 markdown on the Rolex.

Even the Rolex Presidential 18k Yellow Gold Watch (c. 1990s) -- a whopping $12,240 on Gilt -- has been sold out, possibly due to its original high price of $31,350.

There are a few listed with "reserved," having flipped back from the tantalizing "just one" left label that no doubt has folks whipping out those credit cards and praying the approval goes through.

This Internet Deals reporter is realizing how much of an "arrived" status symbol Rolex watches can be. So jump on it if you want one -- you might be able to sneak one in.
