Although IBM’s goal is to be device agnostic, IBM has initially provided 13 mobile applications that all work with the Apple (iOS) platform. Three of them work with Apple, Android and Blackberry platforms; and two apps work only with the Apple and Android operating systems. Additionally, IBM highlighted two of its case studies in Samsung HQ’s territory (Korea):
- Lotte Credit Card company (part of the Lotte chaebol [conglomerate]) used MobileFirst to develop an advanced application that enables credit card users to access all of their account information on their Apple iOS and Android mobile devices; this notably improved the user experiences of customers and employees.
- Daegu Health College used MobileFirst to develop and deploy a suite of mobile apps to manage common academic inquiries from their mobile devices including verifying class registration, checking grades, viewing class schedules and searching library materials in a reliable and secure way.
