Fox News reported on Feb. 18, 2013, that country singer Mindy McCready shot and killed herself Sunday.
Arkansas sheriff Marty Moss said, she died from an "apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound". She has two sons, 6-year-old Zander and 10-month-old Zayne.
The 37-year-old singer was released in just 10 days from a treatment facility for alcohol abuse following the death of her boyfriend David Wilson. The course was for 21 day's.
E! News quoted a source as saying, "She was released because they think she is mentally stable enough, and she was tested for drugs and alcohol and everything came up fine,"
"One of the reasons they released her is she didn't have any symptoms of what an alcoholic would have. There were no signs she had a problem to the doctor."
The BBC wrote, "US country singer Mindy McCready has killed herself, police say.
"Police said they had found the body of Malinda Gayle McCready on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The troubled singer had attempted to take her own life twice before and was known to have problems with prescription drugs and alcohol."
