The 2013 Bay Area Maker Faire is scheduled to take place at the San Mateo Event Center on Saturday May 19th from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday May 20th from 10 am to 6 pm. The Maker Faire features a variety of art, health, science, electronics, music, and craft demonstrations.
Some of the special guests at the 2013 Bay Area Maker Faire are author Dave Eggers, Mythbuster's Adam Savage, and the creator of Code Hero Alex Peake. R2D2 and the Astromech robotics club also made an appearance at the 2011 Maker Faire.
