Well, if it's Friday and payday for plenty of folks, Chase.com must be down again. Actually, they are partially up and partially down at times today, Friday, March 1, 2013.

Chase Support is on top of the issue with communications from their official Twitter page, which responds quite promptly to customer concerns:

"*ALERT* QuickPay will be unavailable until 4PM ET & Chase Online is experiencing intermittent slowness. We'll provide updates once resolved," they wrote at approximately 11:51 a.m. ET.

Earlier this morning I tried logging into my Chase.com bank accounts online, and it took an abnormally long time. I noticed in the URL after I logged in that the token said "false" and thought perhaps I'd typed the wrong password, but I hadn't.

"Sorry you're having issues logging on," Chase tweeted to one user . "Pls try clearing your cache & cookies and then logging in to: http://www.chase.com ^PG"

I switched browsers (like Chase Support suggests) from Safari to Firefox and was finally, achingly able to logon. I just tried again and closed out Chase.com so I wouldn't have to wait.

From checking my Google Analytic statistics, I see other searches coming in from folks wondering stuff like "is Chase down" and "Chase down" and "Chase problems" and such and hitting my older articles on the subject, so I figured it was time for a new one.
