The Obama Satan look-alike claims have been bombarding the internet, and social websites with many expressing their opinions on the Obama Satan look-alike character on the History Channel's TV miniseries " The Bible." ABC News reported on Monday, March 18 that the network stated that the resemblance chatter is "utter nonsense."
Mehdi Ouzaani is the name of the Moroccan actor plays Satan in the History Channel's series, he is reported to have played numerous Satanic characters in many Bibliographical programs several years before Barack Obama was ever elected president.
The Obama Satan look-alike talk began getting global attention after Glenn Beck tweeted last week: "Does Satan look EXACTLY like Obama? Yes!"
The History Channel released a statement that the network has "the highest respect" for Obama, and that "it's unfortunate that anyone made this false connection."
"Both Mark and I have nothing but respect and love our president, who is a fellow Christian," said Roma Downey, the "Touched By an Angel" actress who is married to Burnett. "False statements such as these are just designed as a foolish distraction to try and discredit the beauty of the story of the Bible."
Glenn Beck followed up his original tweet on Monday, Beck posting,"Media - relax."
Beck revealed that the Obama Satan look-alike observation was "funny, nothing more" and that the series "is 1 of my fav shows. Keep watching."
The History Channels states that epic new series "The Bible" tells the story from Genesis to Revelation, these unforgettable stories unfold through live action and cutting-edge computer-generated imagery, offering new insight into famous scenes and iconic characters.
Created by producer Mark Burnett and featuring an international cast that includes Roma Downey, this 10-hour docudrama explores the sacred text’s most significant episodes, including Noah’s journey in the ark, the Exodus and the life of Jesus.
The five-part miniseries has been a big hit for History, reaching more than 13 million viewers for its first episode.
"The Bible" airs on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. on the History Channel.
