ABC News reported on April 18, 2013, that four people were found shot dead in the head in an Akron townhouse Thursday. All the four were shot in the head execution style, Police said.
Akron Police said the victims were two men and two women in their 20s.
According to Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority executive director Tony O'Leary, some passerby found the dead bodies at a complex on Akron's northeast side. No weapons were found in the home.
The victims were identified as Ronald Roberts (24) Maria Nash (19), Kem Delaney (23) and Kiana Welch.
The ABC News quoted Roberts’ mother as saying, “My thoughts are that my son wouldn’t have hurt anyone. He would have given you the shirt off his back, and whoever did this needs to be found and held responsible. Now, I have a 24-year-old son to put away, for what?"
The area of the horrific killings is said to be very quite and has no history of crimes.
Police officers were seen combing the area, looking for shell cases and talking to the neighbors.
