The CNN reported on April 15, 2013, that two people were killed and 23 others were injured in three bomb blasts near finish line of the Boston Marathon in Boston.
The explosions took place at around 2:45 p.m., two hours after the race started. Around 27,000 runners participated in the marathon.
The Massachusetts General Hospital staff told media, four victims were admitted to emergency room. The victims conditions are still not known.
The bomb squads are combing the area and are looking for suspicious packages.

A White House official told ABC News, “The president has been notified of the incident in Boston, his administration is in contact with state and local authorities.
"He directed his administration to provide whatever assistance is necessary in the investigation and response.”
The ABC News quoted the marathon officials as saying, "We are deeply saddened and shocked by the news from Boston, our immediate thoughts are with the people there and their families.
"It is a very sad day for athletics and for our friends and colleagues in marathon running. Our security plan is developed jointly with the Metropolitan Police and we were in contact with them as soon as we heard the news."
