The congressman Rep. Steve Cohen mentioned the 80s icon Cyndi Lauper as hot in his recent tweet, reports the Inquisitr on April 11, 2013.

Washington Post reports that Cohen deleted his tweet just after 20 minutes. He deleted the tweet may be thinking that he might be teased for the tweet.

Although Cohen hasn't given any specific reason for the deletion of the tweet, yet it can be assumed that he did this out of the embarrassment.

It is not that Lauper isn’t hot. Cohen hasn’t yet got acquainted with the guidelines to work on Twitter.

The Inquisitr quoted Lauper’s tweet mentioning, “@cyndilauper great night, couldn’t believe how hot u were. See you again next Tuesday. Try a little tenderness.”

Cohen found another way to shower praises on Lauper. He praised the singer’s performance during the Memphis Soul Night.

He said that among so many performers there, he thinks Miss Cyndi Lauper is special. He added that he would suggest his colleagues to try a little tenderness on occasion.

However, this was not the first time that Cohen has caused a sensation on Twitter.

Previously, the congressman used his Twitter account to address a young woman during the State of the Union address. She was found out to be Cohen’s secret daughter.
