Apple fans, get excited. It looks like a new iPhone is on the way. Wall Street Journal today is reporting that the iPhone producer, Foxconn, has started hiring again in China.
DailyMail goes one step further and notes that Foxxconn has been hiring 10,000 workers per week since March.
And though Forbes agrees that this could be an indication of the new iPhone 5s, they're also open to other possibilities.
"Current speculation revolves around two alternatives. And do note that these aren’t mutually exclusive alternatives. The first is the iPhone 5S, as it’s being called. A slightly souped up version of the current 5 model. The other is that Apple will address the hole at the bottom of its product range by bringing in a “low cost” iPhone for developing markets. This is the area where Android is beating it hands down."
And it's also important to note that a hiring spike, isn't solid proof of the new iPhone going into production. in the past, Foxconn has experienced fluctuations in staffing based on holidays.
And there's more. If there is in fact a new iPhone on the way now or later, it's looking like it will have a 12-megapixel camera.
According to ItProPortal , the new camera will enhance the new iPhone's night shooting capabilities, though there's no word how exactly it will do that.
So what do you think is on the way-- the rumored iPhone 5s? A entry-level iphone? A combo of both?
