The family was enjoying a trip to Hawaii and the young lad along with two of the family's nannies, got caught in a riptide.
She told Us Weekly in a statement that she was very scared for her child and everyone else in the water and rushed with her boyfriend Martin Kristen to get everyone out safely.
Earlier on Sunday, she posted a snap of on the beach of brightly colored Easter eggs, writing 'Happy Easter'.
Heidi had been holidaying in Honolulu over the Easter break with her four children and her bodyguard turned boyfriend Martin.
The family was pictured on Tuesday having a good time on the beach. Heidi was seen enjoying the warm weather and the children were happy playing with their buckets and spades. Martin was seen helping them get their toys at the end of the day.
