The rapper Kayne West got sued for unlawfully sampling lyrics from an obscure 1974 song "Bumpin' Bus Stop?" in his 2005 “Gold Digger” hit, reports IB Times on April 9, 2013.
Kim Kardashian’s beau Kayne West would never have dreamt of getting entrapped in some scandal while his girlfriend is pregnant and the delivery is due soon.
The songwriter David Pryor’s offspring alleged Kayne West for stealing a small portion of the obscure song.
Pryor had written and sung the song with his band Thunder & Lightning. Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor, children of Pryor possess about a part of the tune.
According to the children, 13 seconds footage of the Kanye's "Gold Digger" which includes "Get down girl, get down, get down" has been sampled from Pryor's voice saying "Get down" three times in his "Bumpin' Bus Stop?" song.
The children have asked the judge that they would want the sales of the song to be put on halt and they should be provided with "millions of dollars" in lieu of damages for the unlicensed sample.
