The ABC News reported on April 4, 2013, that President Obama assessed the beauty of California’s attorney general Kamala Harris and called her “the best looking attorney general,” during a fundraiser in Atherton, California.
Obama was full of praise for Harris, 48, who campaigned for him last year.
The NY Times quotes the President Obama as saying, “She also happens to be by far the best looking attorney general in the country,”
Soon the comments started trending on Twitter as some users blasted the comments as “awkward” and even “sexist.”
Obama said, “You have to be careful to, first of all, say she is brilliant and she is dedicated and she is tough, and she is exactly what you’d want in anybody who is administering the law, and making sure that everybody is getting a fair shake.
"She also happens to be by far the best-looking attorney general in the country — Kamala Harris is here.”
“It’s true! C’mon,” he said as the crowd laughed.
On the same day there was more trouble for the President as is wife Michelle called herself a “busy single mother” in an interview.
The CBS quoted her as saying, “You know, when you’ve got the husband who’s president, it can feel a little single, but he’s there”.
