Apple has revealed both free and paid top apps for iPhone and iPad in the App Store. Overall, there were 100 apps combined that made the lists as the most downloaded apps in the Apple App Store, according to a report.
For free apps for the iPad, the following made it to the top 10: Skype for iPad; The Weather Channel for iPad; Netflix; Angry Birds HD Free; Kindle; Facebook; Pandora Radio; Calculator for iPad Free; Fruit Ninja HD Free, and Words With Friends HD Free.
Further, for paid apps for the iPad, the following made it to the top 10: Pages; Angry Birds HD; Angry Birds Seasons HD; Where's My Water; Fruit Ninja HD; Angry Birds Space HD; GarageBand; Words With Friends HD; Cut The Rope HD, and Keynote.
Meanwhile, for free apps for the iPhone, the following made it to the top 10: Facebook; Pandora Radio; Instagram, YouTube; Skype; Words With Friends Free; The Weather Channel; Twitter; Temple Run, and Google Search.
For paid apps for the iPhone, the following made it to the top 10: Angry Birds; Fruit Ninja; Doodle Jump; Cut The Rope; Angry Birds Seasons; WhatsApp Messenger; Camera+; Words With Friends; Tiny Wings, and Angry Birds Space.
Interestingly, Apple is also currently having a promotional free giveaway in the amount of $10,000 in the form of gift card for someone whose going to be lucky enough to download the 50 billionth app in the Apple App Store. The Apple App Store was launched in July of 2008. The service allows users to browse and download applications that were developed with Apple’s iOS SDK. It currently has more than 650,000 available apps that can be downloaded directly to an iOS device, or onto a Mac or PC computer via iTunes.
