Yesterday, Google Now became available on Apple's iOS devices. It has been available on Android devices for a long time, but iOS users can finally discover what all the hype has been about.
Google Now on iOS gives you information such as the current temperature outside, what the commute looks like to/from work, your favorite sports scores, or the current price of a particular stock. Google Now basically gives you all the information you want without even asking. It is quite a useful app.
One major disability to Google Now on iOS is that it can't run in the background. On Android, a user will receive an alert based on commute times, whether changes, and other push notifications. However, some believe that an updated version of Google Now on iOS will allow for push notifications.
Some people see Google Now as a replacement for Siri, but it isn't. Google Now on iOS does allow voice commands, but is very inconsistent. At least Siri always responds, even asking you for clarification. Still, if you are an owner of an iOS device, Google Now should be downloaded at your earliest convenience.
