The Sun reported on May 23, 2013, that Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla while going from London to the Hay Literacy Festival in Powys via airplane had a scary experience due to an emergency landing.
The investigations are going on to find the reason for the emergency landing.
The airplane flew just 15 minutes away from London but due to a technical fault, the pilot had to make a surprise landing at Denham Aerodrome in Buckinghamshire.
Just when the plane landed safely the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were boarded in the cars for their destination.
There were five more people in the plane. The couple reached the festival only a few hours late. They seemed relaxed as they greeted the crowd at the literary event.
Prince Charles was seen in a simple grey suit while Duchess chose to wear pale blue two-piece under a fawn mac.
The fans flocked the royal couple as they heard about the emergency landing. An anonymous person said to The Sun that they were not even a bit affected with what happened. If anyone else would have been at their place, they would have cancelled their day.
Quoting a spokesman for the royal couple, the Sun mentioned, “The pilot carried out a controlled emergency landing after diverting to the airport. It was quite a hairy experience.”
