The Huffingtonpost reported on May 6, 2013, that a French tourist was eaten by vultures within 45 minutes after she fell off from a Cliff in the French Pyrenees located on border with Spain.

It was reported that she went there on a hiking tour with two friends on April 14th and dumped more than 980 feet after her fall.

Major Didier Pericou of the Gendarmerie mentioned, “When we first went out in the helicopter looking for the body, we saw numerous vultures without realizing what they were doing.

There were only bones, clothes and shoes left on the ground. They took 45 to 50 minutes to eat the body.”

The name of this woman has not been revealed yet. The 52-year-old woman was hiking in the Pic de Pista. She fell as she was trying to take a shortcut through the mountain range.

In addition to eating the woman, the endangered vultures are also blamed for feasting upon the livestock.

The French locals want these vultures to be securely caged in some place. News.com.au reported that they had to burn the animals due to the fear of the circulation of Mad Cow disease.

On one hand, the farmers say the vultures are a threat to their community. While on the other hand, the scientists proclaim that the vultures are not getting enough food, so they are acting like that.
