Don’t you think the world is nearing its doom on learning about the horrifying news of the parents attempting to kill their own child? The Inquisitr reports on May 6, 2013 that a NY couple zip-tied their 4-year-old daughter to a baby gate.
According to the Raleigh police the 4-year-old has been taken into the guardianship of the police.
The accused 26-year-old Gerald Thomas Swinehart and 28-year-old Marlaine Victoria Coffey had used zip-ties to bind their daughter’s wrists and ankles to a baby gate. These zip ties are usually used by the electricians.
Investigations also suggest that Swinehart hit the girl very hard that her lower teeth came protruding out through her lower lip.
The child was handed over to the social services on March 31. This incident happened earlier this year.
According to the reports, Swinehart is alleged with inflicting physical injuries twice upon the child.
She is fined $100,000 while Coffey who has been charged with one time injury has been fined $50,000.
It is not sure whether they have any attorneys. Neither the police is sure upon the number of times the girl had been abused previously.
What punishment should be given to such parents?
