As predictable as the seasons are in showing up in perfect order every year, so it goes with annual iPhone rumors. The latest one coming down the pike today concerns the next iteration of Apple’s smartphone—the iPhone 6.
When?
According to International Business Times, it seems to have used some form of exotic algorithms, computations, and statistical analysis, otherwise known to the rest of us as a guess , and has predicted the iPhone 6 will arrive in September .
International Business Times stated:
“We’ve done some math, and we believe we’ve figured out Apple’s release date timetable for the iPhone 6. We believe Apple will release the iPhone 6 on Friday, Sept. 27.”
Now, all IBT has to do is to predict the winner of the World Series, Oscar winners, and who will be elected the next president of the United States.
But all kidding aside, IBT may have inside sources or documents that may be leading it in its prognostications, but aren’t letting on as to how it received the info. But it will be easy enough to see if their prediction comes true, come September.
The Budget iPhone 6
The Internet has been jammed with various leaked photos and videos lately of the iPhone 6, claiming to be images of the real thing. But some of the most convincing ones come from tech website Techdy.com in early July. Chris Chang, editor-in-chief of the site, posted photos and a video supposedly coming from parts suppliers in Taiwan for the iPhone 6.
Could be delayed
The one aspect of the iPhone 6 that everyone seems to agree on is that it will be available in several colors; mimicking the bright hues of Apple’s iPod line of MP3 players. On everything else, the opinions are divided.
One rumor, which goes against IBT’s prediction of a September launch, says the iPhone 6 will actually be pushed back until very late this year. The reason? Parts are being delayed to iPhone assembly plants due to a last minute decision to bump up the expected 4-inch screen to 4.3-inches.
Wait and see
As the expected launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S near, some are wondering if the next refreshes of the device will be the same old, same old—an incremental increase in performance, slightly better resolution, and same form factor.
If so, Apple may be on the cusp of seeing an unexpected downturn in sales. But even so, one thing is certain; there will be legions of Apple fans waiting happily in line to snag one.
