iPhone 6 release date update: A report posted at Value Walk on July 11, 2013 says the 7th generation Apple smartphone, dubbed the iPhone 7, is closer to launch than some analysts expect. This is great news for fans of the popular gadget, if the rumors are true.
The article cites sources claiming the "iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S could be near production." The new report says Pegatron Corporation, which is rumored to be the company hired to manufacture parts for the iPhone 6 and 5S, plans to "hire 40,000 new employees to ensure production needs are met."
The large amount of job openings is what has sparked the rumors saying the iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 release date is closer than previously expected.
Another news report says “This latest shift in manufacturing on Apple’s part sees it moving the iPhone away from Foxconn Technology Co., Ltd. (TPE:2354) (OTCMKTS:FXCOF), where its relationship has become strained over the past year, while asking iPad mini factory Pegatron to pull double duty. And while the iPhone 6 will not be released until iOS 7 is finished, which Apple says will be in the fall or sooner, the new iPhone factory is ramping up the headcount now.”
If everything moves with the same time-frame that Apple usually keeps, the iPhone 6 release date won't likely occur until after iOS 7 is completed. If the technology giant doesn't launch iOS 7 until this fall, will they also push the iPhone 6 release date to sometime next year?
What are your thoughts on the iPhone 6 release date? Do you think the 7th generation Apple smartphone will be available this by the end of 2013, or do you think Apple consumers will have to wait until sometime next year?
