There's no doubt that 3-D printing is going to give us some pretty cool stuff, and pictured is a look at what might be the very next innovation.


Did you break your arm as a kid (or even as an adult)? Remember the thick, heavy cast that caused your arm to overheat as much as it did itch?


It looks like we could be moving away from that, according to a recent post from Ubergizmo, which is a Top 100 site in the Technorati Blog Directory (Also Top 100 in Technology and Gadgets).

This 3-D printed cast is designed to be totally ventilated and lightweight. From looking at the picture, you can even run water over it. The cast is still conceptual, but it does shed some light into the types of products this new technology could lead to.
