The Washington Post reported on July 8, 2013, that the Basket player duo Kevin Durant and Monica Wright are an engaged couple now after the superstar proposed his longtime girlfriend Wright who had been good friends since their high school days.
Durant, the Oklahoma City Thunder superstar has been in a good relationship with his girlfriend Wright and the duo were once the rulers in D.C. high school basketball in 2006.
Wright, 5’11”, currently plays for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx as a guard and confirmed the news of her engagement with Durant last Sunday after Lynx won over the Phoenix Mercury.
Both the 24-year-old basketball stars are tied in a strong bond now but they didn't reveal their about their relationship earlier.
An instance in this context is that when FoxSportsNorth.com presented an article about their friendship, no further reference was made on the romantic connections of the two.
Quoting Durrant's 2011 tweet, the Washington post mentioned, “Or maybe I need a basketball playing girlfriend…hmmm lol…monica wright where r u(love n basketball).”
