The PC Mag reported on July 11, 2013, that a 14-month-old Portland toddler Sorella Stoute accidentally bought rundown 1962 Austin Healey Sprite on eBay for $225 using her dad’s smartphone.
Last month the toddler managed to bid on the auction at eBay by tapping on the smartphone of her father. Fortunately, they won the bid. It was a shock for the couple.
But after they became normal, Paul, father of Sorella and his wife Christina finally planned to keep the car.
Paul says that he would restore the car and maybe give to her daughter when she turns 16-year-old.
Reportedly, the seller of the car was residing nearby, so they didn’t face any problem while picking the car.
Paul revealed that he has currently stored the car at his mother’s house in Milwaukie, Ore.
Quoting Stoute from his interview with Fox 12 Oregon, the PC Mag mentioned,
"Tap, tap, tap and now I own a car. Fortunately, she didn't buy the $38,000 Porsche."
Sorella’s father Paul has now added a new PIN code on his phone to avoid the accident from happening again.
Do you keep your smartphone locked?
