After being astray for days, Edward Snowden has finally appeared at Sheremetyevo Airport, Moscow to meet human right groups where the media caught him for a meeting.

The whistleblower who had earlier this week received offers of asylum from Latin American countries Venezuela, Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador, laughed and said "It's safe here." when he was asked how he was enjoying his stay in Russia.

He was accompanies by Sarah Harrison of WikiLeaks for the meeting with the Human Rights Group. Tanya Lokshina from Human Rights Watch, in an interview with WSJ earlier today :

"Human Rights Watch made a statement several days ago saying that he does have a prima facie case and that indeed his concerns about possible ill-treatment if in custody in the United States are legitimate. Therefore any country, including Russia now that he’s making a formal claim, should consider that claim justified."

In a statement published by WikiLeaks, Snowden said: "I believe in the principle declared at Nuremberg in 1945: "Individuals have international duties which transcend the national obligations of obedience. Therefore individual citizens have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against peace and humanity from occurring." Here is the full statement .

He now pleas the Russian government to help him reach his asylum country safely.
