Fiverr has recently undergone a new website design, with more changes expected to come by the end of the year. For a website that is only 2 years old, it has certainly been growing in leaps and bounds, with now over 2 million freelance gigs offered for only $5. The innovative redesign seems to be drawing some very positive feedback from both buyers and sellers alike.

In the older text-based version, buyers searching for freelance services were taken to a specific webpage based on a category of their choosing, such as “Website Content” or “Music and Audio”. A vertical list of possible sellers would instantly appear. This list was rather limited, which meant that buyers had to constantly scroll through endless offers before locating the ones that appealed to them the most.

In the new format, the results page now offers nearly 4 times as many gig choices in the page results, and the selections are consistently updating and changing every few minutes. This levels the playing field for the sellers, but also makes the site much more fun for the buyers. Users simply never know what is going to pop up on the page once they enter the website. By other adding optimized keyword searching features, Fiverr allows the buyer to narrow their search to a very specific type of gig, if they choose.

Fiverr has also added a great many analytics features for the sellers, allowing them to track how their customers are finding their gigs in the first place. With the click of a mouse, freelancers can determine how much cash is coming into their accounts and from what types of customers. Delivery rates are displayed with a “per hour” responsiveness rating, a traffic conversation rating and many other additional features. This helps the sellers to better understand how their clients are responding to their gig offerings.

It seems that Fiverr is taking their website to a whole new level , with more plans for further future upgrades expected by the end of the year. With so many “copycat” sites online, expect Fiverr to continue pushing the envelope in this new world of “Gig Marketing!”
