The iOS 7 update brought a lot of changes, including a brand new interface. It also brought brand new ways to perform simple tasks that we've all been doing for years. One area that got a big makeover was the task bar, which displays the most recently activated apps on the device. The task bar both lets you switch between apps efficiently and shut down apps, but now that it displays a small window of the app rather than just the icons, how do you close an app?

Worry not. Closing an app is actually more simple than the old way, which bore too many similarities towards deleting apps and took longer than needed. In iOS 7, simple tap hold your finger down on the window of the app you wan to close and then drag it toward the top of the screen. This will close the app, freeing up memory for other apps and allowing you to relaunch it from scratch if you were having an issue with it.
