Even though the pre-orders for the iPhone 5C haven't been selling like iPhones usually do, we've now at least reached our very first sell out for the budget phone that comes in various colors, according to 9to5mac on Sept. 13 .

The first phone to sell out is the 16GB yellow unlocked model. Pre-orders for the phone on Apple's online store now state that instead of being able to ship by Sept. 20, they'll be available by Sept. 25.

MacNN notes that around the world Hong Kong's shipping dates have slipped by one to two weeks, in Canada most models will arrive by Sept. 24 and in the U.S. on Sprint, the 32GB yellow model will ship in three week.

The iPhone 5C began pre-orders last night and unlike previous versions of the phone, it doesn’t seem like too many people are interested in snagging the product. Or, LA Times notes , Apple could simply be doing a better job of meeting consumer demands. Last year’s iPhone 5 had issues with supply due to its aluminum casing. However, as the iPhone 5C is made of polycarbonate, the manufacturing process isn’t as time-consuming.

However, odds are, the majority of Apple fans are holding out for the newest, shiniest version of the iPhone.
