If you've been reading some of the top technology blogs on Technorati, you might think that they have switched their editorial strategy and are focusing on chocolate bars, specifically KitKats.

That's not the case. Chocolate has nothing to do with it, but KitKats do.

Let me explain.

Google announced on Tuesday that the latest version of its Android 4.4. mobile operating system is called KitKat, named after the branded chocolate bar. The announcement was made on the company's official Google+ page.

Mashable is bummed that Key Lime Pie wasn't the name.

Android Community is in favor of the chocolate-themed name.

Engadget mentions how the statue unveiling might have leaked a new Nexus phone.

What do you think about the KitKat name for Google's Android mobile platform?
