The FBI, in the infamous Miss Teen USA sextortion case, reportedly arrested a 19-year-old California native named Jared James Abrahams on September 26, 2013.

Cassidy Wolf won the Miss Teen USA pageant in August this year and shortly after her win, the beauty queen claimed that someone had managed to hack into her webcam and taken a number of nude photos of her through remote operation.

She then received an anonymous email claiming threatening that the pictures would be released to her social media accounts unless she did what she was told for five minutes or engaged in a Skype session with the sender of the email.

FBI officials have reported that Abrahams has been charged with extortion and cybercrimes. The agency also claimed that Abrahams has confessed to using the extortion scheme on the Miss Teen USA contestant as well as on a number of other women as well.

Other victims of the teen’s grimy plans have not yet been publically identified though he might be charged with multiple counts of cybercrime and extortion.

The reigning Miss Teen USA has publically spoken about the sextortion photos scandal and thanks to her coming forward, the several months of investigation that the FBI had put into the similar cases received a significant lead.

The FBI claimed that Abrahams used malicious software to gain access to these women’s webcams and recorded their videos and pictures in the nude through their webcams without their consent.
