The Real Tooth Fairies is a magical online world where girls aged 5 to 10 receive affirming messages about positive self-esteem as they play and discover through age-appropriate games and activities. While offering families the complete tooth fairy experience, this children’s media company has a mission to partner with parents in celebrating their child and affirming her as she faces the challenges of growing up.

Studies show that the development of self-esteem in childhood has long-lasting effects on success and resilience in adulthood. The Real Tooth Fairies integrate pro-social content into their entertaining world with a team of six very positive Real Tooth Fairies and their educational and child development experts.

As a girl completes the free registration at www.TheRealToothFairies.com she makes a “ME Doll” avatar of herself to explore the enriching tooth fairy world. Then she takes the Royal Quiz to get matched to her tooth fairy. With a magical reveal, girls meet their own Real Tooth Fairy, and this begins a sweet friendship with the tooth fairy as she speaks warm and positive messages to the girl during her play.

In the free Welcome Kit, girls discover a special activity from The Real Tooth Fairies called “I Love Me From Head to Toe.” Girls create a drawing of themselves and decorate it with positive affirmations that encourage a girl to love and accept herself unconditionally just as she is, from head to toe. Some of the affirmations girls use to decorate their “Me Head to Toe” poster include: I’m smart, I’m strong, I belong, I’m talented, I’m beautiful, I’m a goal-setter.

Another of the Real Tooth Fairies activities with a focus on self-esteem is the free activity called “Create Your Dream Tree.” Girls customize charms that hang from branches of a Dream Tree that grows in Real Fairyland. This is where the Real Tooth Fairies take a girl’s lost teeth, and these charms recognize the girl’s talents, achievements and dreams.

A girl personalizes the charms on this special tree that tells her story, and she can continually update it as she changes and grows. If she wants to share her Dream Tree (it is not viewable by anyone but her on the site), she can print it and show it to friends or family members .

Families report that one of their favorite experiences with The Real Tooth Fairies is getting a personalized letter from the girl’s Real Tooth Fairy on her pillow (with parent permission). After girls magic message their Real Tooth Fairy asking for a letter about a topic that is on their mind, parents say their girls benefit from the supportive letter that comes back. Topics include: lost tooth, proud of a new accomplishment, a good day at school, a big moment in sports, having a hard time, help with friends and many more. Parents can even magic message The Real Tooth Fairies with things to add into the Real Tooth Fairy’s magical letter. Girls also receive animated Magic Letters on the website that share messages like, “You are so special just being you.”

The Lost Tooth Garden, another online attraction, offers girls a place to discover the 20 Lost Tooth Virtues as they record each lost tooth. For each lost tooth a girl records, she grows a new Virtue Flower which that lost tooth brings. The 20 Lost Tooth Virtues include patience, laughter, honesty, gratitude, empathy, optimism, and loyalty.

The Real Tooth Fairies On Encouraging Respect

In addition to nurturing a child’s positive self-image, it’s equally important for parents to instill a respect for others and foster empathy for others’ feelings. For that purpose, The Real Tooth Fairies offer families a free action-focused kindness program called Every Kindness Counts.

Girls go online and pick kind acts they would like to do in their family or at school and print out the “Kindness Tickets.” Once they do the kind acts, they record each one online with their Tooth Fairy cheering them on. Girls move up a Kindness Level for each 6 kindnesses they do, earning virtual Kindness awards as they progress. This innovative program has won many awards, including ranking on Dr. Toy’s Top Ten Toys in the socially responsible category and securing Creative Child’s Product of the Year Award for 2013.

As the Earth-based founder who works with The Real Tooth Fairies to bring these enriching experiences to Earth children, Marilyn Bollinger says, “It’s such an honor to help a family celebrate their special and unique girl through her tooth-losing years. Parents tell us about so many happy memories they’re having with The Real Tooth Fairies.”

Through Bollinger’s experience as a licensed clinical social worker doing family and children’s therapy and leading parenting workshops, she was inspired to integrate pro-social content into the foundation of this children’s brand. With self-esteem being such an important part of child development, it is on the minds of so many parents who seek ways to help their children develop positive self-worth.

The Real Tooth Fairies can be a supportive partner to parents during these formative years as they promote positive experiences that can offer lifelong benefits to their children.
