A new wax figure of the 91-year-old actress Betty White is joining the collection in wax at the Madame Tussauds museum in Washington.
The museum said that the figure of Betty will be unveiled on Oct 9, 2013 which is Wednesday. The figure will be unveiled by the CEO of Washington Humane Society, Lisa LaFontaine as homage to White's passion for animals. The Humane Society will have the mobile adoption center of animals to encourage the visitors.
Betty White already has a wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Los Angeles which was unveiled in June 2012.
White is known best for her roles on TV shows like "Hot in Cleveland”, "The Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show".
White was awarded in 2013 by the Guinness World Records for having the longest television career as an actress.
She has won two consecutive Screen Actors Guild Awards for her role in "Hot in Cleveland” and received 20 Emmy nominations in her career, winning six Emmy awards.
She is the only woman to have won an Emmy in all comic categories. She is also the oldest winner of a competitive Grammy Award.
