Starbucks is continuing to make buying a friend a cup of joe as easy (or lazy?) as possible, according to a tweet from Starbucks' confirmed Twitter account on Oct. 28. With the help of Twitter, Starbucks has launched @Tweetacoffee, which gives you the ability to buy a $5 gift card for a friend through Twitter. The program is currently in a beta stage but it allows users with a Starbucks account to sync up with Twitter and then connect a credit card.

To give someone a little caffeine or bakery gift, simple include @tweetacoffee, the intended recipient's Twitter handle and tweet away. If you've ever seen someone have a birthday or make an announcement that warrants a gift on Facebook, you'll know that Starbucks has set up a similar gift card giving system there.

Mashable also notes that Starbucks has looped in Visa to create an incentive for users to sync up accounts and get to gifting. The first 100,000 people who link their Visas to their Starbucks/Twitter account and then purchase a gift card for someone else will also get a $5 gift card for themselves.

Starbucks has launched this feature in beta as they are hoping to get as much feedback as possible about how to make the experience enjoyable.

Will you use @tweetacoffee?
