Feast your ears and eyes on "The only headset you'll ever need!" The Jabra Motion is here.
This device was put through the rigorous “I talk too much” test, as are all Bluetooth products tested here. It is ambidextrous, but I chose to wear it on the right ear, as it was replacing another Jabra product that was made for the right ear only. Actually, simply calling it ambidextrous is a travesty of justice, a mockery of its Bluetooth majesty even. It is so ambidextrous, that all it takes to put it from left air to right (or visa versa) is simply twisting the ear piece and the ear cushion. It’s that simple. And oh yea, I didn’t even come close to running down the 7+ hours of talk time.
It is a very light ear piece, which makes one forgetful that it is on. Answering calls, hanging up, flash, etc are all done by a simple press on the ear button, and mute is done by a simple press on the mic boom button.
This was paired with and tested on;
An iPhone 4 Honeycomb Android Tablet with Skype A Samsung Galaxy Note 2
All paired flawlessly in under 30 seconds in most cases. The great about this Bluetooth device is that you don’t even need a manual. The minute you turn the Jabra Motion it automatically goes into pairing mode and tells you step by step how to pair it with your device.
There are too many features that make this a top Bluetooth device to explain, however, that being said, there is one feature that will blow the ears off of the competition; Motion Sensing Technology. That means, if you nod, shake your head, turn your head, what ever, it will adjust the volume and tone to your movements. This IS the first Bluetooth headset with this technology.
The honorable mention standout feature to this headset (even other top of the line Jabra products) is its resistance to sound distortion due to wind noise protection as well as intelligent volume control which adjusts the volume due to your environment. It is so good that even with the windows down, and going highway speeds, my voice was 85-90 % clear to the caller on the other end. That is such an improvement, as wind disturbance has long been a problem for Bluetooth junkies.
One final point is that it appears to have an over 30+ yard range (tested through the doors (wooden and glass) of a local convenience store as I left my phone in the car while shopped. I was still able to take a call with clarity and low interference. It does advertise 10 times the range of most devices.
