A single engine Bahamas aircraft plunged into the seas just a few miles away from the Grand Bahama island leaving 4 people dead.
The crash, which occurred on Sunday, was reported by The Inquisitor on November 11. The ill fated travellers in the plane were all US citizens.
The American tourists who were flying over the islands as part of their sightseeing tour never knew that they were heading for a crash after they took off from the islands international airport.
The plane, a Cirrus 22, ran into trouble soon after take off and it is said that the pilot had radioed that the aircraft was encountering problems.
The names of the victims are still under wraps, even as a probe into the accident was launched. It needs to be noted that Bahamas has been a scene for a few air mishaps, of late.
A helicopter had crashed last year killing one, while another aircraft fell down in the midst of a flight at a resort.
A eyewitness said, "“They got into an air pocket and it went into a tailspin. It recovered, and then it went into a tailspin again and from there it hit the ground”.
