The Google Nexus 5 smartphone is here and driving it is Android 4.4 KitKat. We have been hearing lots about the KitKat OS and this is the chance to play with it after all the wait.

Google has attached a $349 price tag to the Nexus 5 and it looks like the device is set to rock.

Going by an i4u post on November 1, what is most significant about the device is the OS that runs in it.

Soon to hop on to devices from Samsung (Galaxy S4) and HTC (One), KitKat is in fact what the OS the elite tech crowd would want to make friends with.

Apart from the latest Android version, the Nexus 5 will boast 512 MB RAM, a 4.95 inch 1080p IPS Liquid Crystal Display and Snapdragon 800 processor.

These apart, it would also sport then it has 2GB of RAM and an 8MP snapper. Google is bringing back LTE tech into the Nexus 5, we hear.

With the KitKat sweetness inside, you will also be able to change your home screen whenever you want to.

Another important addition offered is the Emoji icons made available freely on the platform. Other awesome features include wireless printing and manually-free voice search.
