You might have read about the two sets of skeletal remains found buried in the California desert a few days ago.
The police have found a breakthrough in the case. The skeletal remains have been identified as those of a couple and their two young kids who disappeared around four years ago.
A Toronto Sun report on November 15 said that dental records helped identify the remains.
It has been revealed that the skeletons were of Joseph McStay, 40, his wife Summer, 43, and their two kids.
The family was reported missing from the San Diego area in February 2010.
Authorities have begun autopsies to know more, but it is believed that DNA tests may have to be deployed to know if the remains included those of the two kids Gianni McStay, 4, and his 3-year-old brother, Joseph.
Believed to be a case of homicide, and investigations have been kicked off to find out the reasons and how the murders happened.
