Look what is giving sleepless nights to the United States and its allies now. It is being feared that highly classified encrypted data has fallen into the hands of NSA spy Edward Snowden.
According to a report in The Inquistr on November 26, the U.S. and friend nations have termed the classified encrypted data in Snowden’s possession as “doomsday cache.”
It is believed that the data has been stored on a cloud by Snowden.
The doomsday cache could probably include documents generated by the NSA and other agencies. The data could also have names of the prominent US and allied intelligence personnel too.
Reports quoting intelligence officials said that the data encryption is highly sophisticated, and would need many passwords to be accessed.
These passwords are in fact valid for a short period of time each day and at the moment only a select few top officials have access to these passwords.
It is feared that Snowden has already stolen around 200,000 documents from the NSA and British Intelligence.
