The latest in iPhone 6 release date and spec rumors suggest Apple may soon be releasing a curved iPhone handset. An article published at Design & Trend on Friday, December 13th, suggests as much. The article also discusses a recent patent request as proof Apple fanatics everywhere will see the new design confirmed in the near future.
Apparently Apple received a patent on Tuesday which the U.S Patent and Trademark Office called "Curved touch sensor." Which reveals details for "placing a thin film over a flexible substrate while the substrate is flat, which would then be joined to a flexible substrate using high heat." This would result in a "thinner sensor display with higher sensitivity." Though this technology could be used in an iPhone, Apple may have acquired the technology for other hardware, like "touchpads mice and more."
Unsurprisingly, there are videos of mock-ups available online, but as always, Apple has not confirmed a curved iPhone 6 design or release at this time.
Would you prefer a curved iPhone 6, or do you think Apple should stick with the popular designs they've been using thus far?
