Even on Christmas Day, Amazon reminds us that it’s not too late to get a Christmas gift over to someone you may have forgotten or procrastinated buying a gift with their name on the package. This page on Amazon.com says that you can still send Amazon gift cards with instant delivery via e-mail, Facebook or you can print them at home.
Those are a few great options, because even if you don’t remember a person’s e-mail address, chances are you’re Facebook friends and can easily send it over that way. Therefore, it’s still the thought that counts on this blessed day.
If you’re on the receiving end of one of those great gift cards – and here’s hoping it’s a large amount – you can check your balance of your Amazon gift card here, and then apply the amount to your account by choosing that link on the left-hand side of Amazon’s page.
The great thing about shopping on Amazon with gift cards is that they will apply the amount to your balance first and use that gift card balance first. For example, let’s say I received a $50 gift card. I could apply that amount to my Amazon balance, and if I purchase an item for $75, Amazon knows to deduct the $50 first, leaving me only a $25 balance to pay however I’d like, via debit or credit card.
