A new computer tip every day for a year

Yesterday's tip

Day 102 / 365

By default, the file (right) frame in Windows Explorer lists items by name in ascending order. This can be changed by choosing View (or right clicking an empty space in the file frame) and selecting Arrange Icons By (or Sort by), then choosing how to sort the list.

When the Windows Explorer Details view (choose View | Details) is selected, a column header above each column indicates the details of that column. To sort on a specific column simply click on that column's header. Clicking a header once sorts it in ascending order. Clicking it again sorts it in descending order.
