This week Bitscan is debuting their Android App at CoinSumm.it in San Francisco, along with their updated iOS app. The updated iOS app is much faster than previous iterations and has had a complete redesign. I had the privilege of being among the few to test the new iOS app while it was still in the developers sandbox.
The most notable difference was the load time. The new app loads significantly faster. The UI also has a new look. It is straight forward and very easy to navigate. The automatic geo-locating function of the new app is a great feature for promoting local bitcoin commerce. Making it easier for people to find bitcoin businesses will encourage business to adopt the cryptocurrency, as the community infrastructure grows to support bitcoin commerce, as well as making it easier for the community to support bitcoin merchants.
The biggest excitement is the product's integration of the auto geo-location function, and advancements of their "restful api". This is paired with announcement of the much-anticipated launch of the Android app. The company has been running a crowdfunding campaign on StartJOIN, a crowdfunding platform designed for bitcoin pledges.Features include:
