With all these polar vortex’s and freezing temperatures, I got my hands on a Craghoppers Hensall Jacket just in time. The wind has been whipping around outside and an extra layer feels real nice when I make my daily run out to the barn.
Craghoppers Hensall Jacket
This jacket, available in three colorways, is the perfect lightweight jacket to wear over a tee, shirt or sweater when the temperature starts to drop. Fitted with a shiny quilted liner, it easily slips over whatever you are wearing already, and looks more like a shirt than a jacket.
The jacket is insulated with synthetic fill and will serve you well in a whole range of activities. Sleeves have two snap positions for a loose or tight fit – your choice. The Hensall uses snaps instead of buttons on the front which make it really easy to put on and take off.
One of the best features is four pockets on the front of the jacket. Two chest pockets have safety flaps over them and two zippered handwarmer pockets are available as well. If it really gets brisk, those handwarmer pockets are like gold.
According to the manufacturer, the material is actually water resistant and will shed a light rain, which is pretty nice. It’s been snowing since I got mine, so I haven’t had it in the rain yet. The jacket is also machine washable and can be tumbled dry on a low heat setting.
Designed in the UK and made in China, the Hensall jacket comes in three beautiful plaid patterns. Mine is a combination of rich looking reds with a grey shoulder patch. I’ve gotten compliments as soon as I put it on.
